Rockwell Collins’ strategy in the Middle East is straight forward: strengthen our position by improving our customers’ situational awareness and decision making ability. We plan to achieve this through strategic alliances, by developing new and tailoring existing capabilities through our growing presence in the region, as well as tapping Rockwell Collins’ best-of-breed solutions from across our enterprise.
In February 2010, we expanded our efforts in the Middle East with the opening of two new facilities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, U.A.E. this month. We plan to grow these facilities over the next five years, providing more jobs to the local economy. These facilities will support both our commercial and military customers and will house business development functions to start, followed by program management, systems engineering and related support activities for many of our company’s core applications.
